Located at the Zhenjiang Economic Development Zone of Jiangsu Province, Hua Dong Teksid Automotive Foundry Company Limited was jointly established by Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Nanjing Automobile Corporation and Teksid S.P.A. of Italy in 1998. Currently, its Chinese investors have changed to Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. and Donghua Automotive Industrial Co., Ltd. The company, with a total investment of 104 million USD and covering an area of 141 thousand square meters, is a modern foundry enterprise dedicated to the professional manufacturing of cast iron cylinder blocks for sedans and light vehicles.

    Now the products are supplied to Auto Manufacturers including SGMW, Shanghai Volkswagen, NAVECO, GAC Fiat Chrysler, Beijing Automotive Powertrain, Geely Automobile and Changzhou Steyr Motors, also the products are exported to international markets such as Europe, Korea and India.

    Main manufacturing facilities of the Company are introduced from Germany, Italy, Spain and etc. Adopting advanced manufacturing technologies such as cold core box for core making, static pressure molding, automatic core setting and automatic casting, the Company enjoys the advantages of high automation level, high suitability for large scale production, sound flexible production capacity, clean and environmentally friendly manufacturing process. Annual manufacturing target for the Company is 1.6 million pieces of various cylinders in total with an aggregate weight reaching up to 75 thousand tons.

    The company has established first class metallographic and molding sand laboratories and boasts advanced examination equipment such as three-coordinate measuring instruments, fully automatic direct-reading spectrometer so as to meet demands from different customers.

    The Company currently has 553 employee among which 88 are professional technicians. The company is capable of independently designing and developing manufacturing technologies and tooling for cast iron cylinder blocks of light vehicles, V6, L4, L3, L2 sedans and etc. In 2012, the Company successfully passed the authentication of High-tech Enterprise. And the Company got ISO/TS16949 Quality Management System Certification and ISO14001 Environment Management System Certification in 2003, Jiangsu Level II Safety Standardization Enterprises Certification in 2011, OHSAS18001 System Certification in 2013. In 2014, the Company passed the review of Jiangsu Level II Safety Standardization Enterprises Certification and also passed GB/T23331 Energy Management System Certification in the very year,.
